I am a comedian writer and actor with many years in the entertainment industry.
My books include Thai Die, These Things Happen and most recently The Good Son.
I began my acting career in the 1980s, studying at NIDA and with several performances in Australian television, film and theatre productions. I played the complex role of "Delivery Man 2" in an episode of Prisoner in 1985. I went on to star as Dave Summers in the Australian soap Neighbours. My most dramatic sequence in this program involved killing the popular character of Daphne in a car accident. I think if you're going to be in a show that bad, you should at least kill one of the main characters. I then appeared in the popular Australian sketch show Full Frontal.
Since then, I have been a regular stand-up comedian around Australia, and have appeared on many TV and radio comedy and drama programs, including Underbelly, Wolf Creek and The Comedy Channel's Stand Up Australia! I also provided the voice of "Sandy" the Yellow Labrador in TV commercials for the Home Hardware hardware store chain for 15 years.
I was nominated for a green room award as best actor for my role as Feste in the Melbourne Theatre Company's production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.
And in 2015, I starred in the Australian zombie comedy film Me and My Mates vs the Zombie Apocalypse, alongside fellow Australian comedians Jim Jefferies and Alex Williamson
I do speaking engagements, and while I can talk about anything, recently I have done a few shows (some with government agencies and rehabs) addressing drug legalisation and addiction issues.
I do workshops and coaching for comedians dealing with writing and performing in both group and one on one situations .
With a background in theatre, I also am available to direct people inn festival shows.
